Central Park North
Project 1987. N.York City, USA

Project for the north façade of Central Park and Harlem designed to formally and architecturally visualise possible ways to develop this area. The ideal plan for Harlem would be based on the following ideas: consolidation of the park façade, consolidation of the park's inner avenues that run northwards, controlled design of the interior patios of each block and a new design for the north zone of the park so that it really becomes part of the district.
This redevelopment of the park would include the construction of an open-air theatre, the transformation of the Meer pond and greater transparency towards the park from the adjacent streets.
As an integral part of the project, several skyscrapers were designed to configure the façade of Harlem opposite the park.
